| She is a goddess of the woman disease and easy delivery. She was born as the daughter of AMATERASU, and became the wife of SUMIYOSHI. However, she was thrown into AWASHIMA because having hung to the woman disease. On the island, she carried out power for people who had become a similar sicknesses ,like her. She came to be deified from this as AWASHIMA-DAI-MYOUJIN. Moreover, she is a goddess of Hinaningyou. |
